The Traveller – Bringing Back the Best of Cocktail History

Pop-up bars are all the rage these days as are craft cocktails.

Now Loew’s Hotel’s has combined the two, thrown in homage to cocktail history and put everything on wheels. The result? The Traveller Bar, a traveling bar that will make appearances at Loew’s 25 properties across the country.

And now through December 30, The Traveller Bar will be in Tucson at Loew’s Ventana Canyon Resort. Every Friday evening from 7-9pm, folks can enjoy cocktails crafted from what is considered the original cocktail book, The Bar-Tenders Guide originally published in 1882.

The bar itself is constructed from an old elevator car and has a zinc bar top, four leather stools, an antique cash register and a back wall lined with beautiful liquor bottles and  50 vintage cocktail books, including an original copy of the 1882 Bartender’s Guide. traveling-bar-m49a4947You can peek at the books while imbibing using the IPad’s found at the bar.

The eight featured cocktails use the finest spirits blended with fresh ingredients to create classic cocktails with a contemporary touch.

Follow The Traveller Bar at #LHTravellerBar or on the website www.thetravellerbar.com.

This is a one and only experience that I highly recommend!
