A couple of days ago I posted why I love Tucson in the summer.
Well, here’s another reason – Downtown Kitchen & Cocktails Around the Globe Tour.
Janos Wilder and Downtown Chef Jerry Alday create menus from cities all over the world. Each special menu lasts about 6 weeks. Diners can enjoy a three course meal for $38 per person or order items a la carte. In addition, Janos and team will have a cooking class and pop-up dinner for each city at The Carriage House, the stunning event center located behind the restaurant.
This year, in keeping with Tucson being named a UNESCO City of Gastronomy, the cities featured will be other cities that have earned this prestigious title.
First up (May 24 – July 11) – Parma, Italy (you see in what good company Tucson finds itself) and the menu sounds fabulous. The dishes showcase the many wonderful foods Parma is known for including Parmigiano Reggiano and Prosciutto de Parma.
