An Historic Gem and Lost Restaurants – A Perfect Pairing

This Friday, March 4th, I’ll be signing and selling copies of ‘Lost Restaurants of Tucson’ in the lobby at Hotel Congress. What a gorgeous place to have a signing!
Hotel Congress has played a major role in Tucson’s history (John Dillinger and his gang were captured there) and many passengers traveling through town on the Southern Pacific Railroad (the station is across the street) stayed there. The Hotel still draws guests from all over the world.
The lobby has been lovingly restored with stunning Art Deco touches and is the site of one of the four bars that can be found in the building. Tiger’s Tap Room is another and of course, there’s Club Congress, one of the best musical venues in the West. We also like the Cup Café for a hearty breakfast or tasty lunch.
I’ll be signing and selling books from 6:00 to around 8:30 so stop at the Hotel Congress lobby.
We can have a cocktail or two.
